Community Work Day – The Bernadette Morales Nature Park Committee will sponsor a Community Work Day on Saturday, June 6, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the park. The park is located at the intersection of Capner Street and Old Croton Road. This is a general clean-up day for the park. Everyone is welcome to help, young & old. Refreshments and lunch are provided by Senior Citizens. This is a great community service project! Groups are welcome. You may come and go as your time permits.
Community Work Days are held on the first Saturday of June and November each year from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Everyone who can come and help is appreciated. The 52-acre tract was donated by Mary & Edwin Large Jr. to the Township in 1979. The park was named for Bernadette (Bunny) Morales who was a teacher at the Robert Hunter School.
